This project has two major components.

First, students will use the Internet to find information and pictures related to their animals.

Possible topics for presentations include: scientific name and classification, habitat and global distribution, physical characteristics, adaptations, diet and eating habits, reproduction and development/life cycle, hydrodynamics, longevity and causes of death, locomotion, defenses, economic value and interesting behaviors. A bibliography or source list may also be required.

Second, students will create “Critter” tee shirts with a picture of their animal.

Getting the students involved in a hands-on activity and having them create unique and attractive apparel will add entertainment and fun to the lesson.
